Look years younger with BOTOX® and Dysport®
BOTOX® and Dysport® temporarily reduce moderate to severe lines between the brows and around the eyes.
Both BOTOX® and Dysport® can be remarkably effective and are suitable for those wishing to refresh their appearance.
A Brief Look at BOTOX
BOTOX, developed by Allergan, was launched more than two decades ago. BOTOX uses a form of botulinum type A to relax the muscles in your face that may bunch and scrunch to cause crow’s feet and frown lines. Your doctor will carefully inject the BOTOX in the most active areas of your face, diminishing existing lines while allowing you to remain expressive and, most importantly, still look like yourself.
The Lowdown on Dysport
Dysport marketed by Galderma, was approved by the FDA in 2009, ending the exclusivity BOTOX long held in terms of cosmetic injectables. It uses the same botulinum type A that BOTOX does, but the solution is made up of smaller molecules, so your doctor may mention different measurements when referring to treatment using the two products. Dysport is used in a manner similar to BOTOX, primarily targeting mild to medium fine lines and wrinkles that have developed because of age or repetitive muscle contractions from smiling, squinting, frowning or raising your eyebrows.
Comparing BOTOX and Dysport
Both treatments are temporary, and both require regular treatments (every three to four months on average) to maintain results; however, the formulaic differences between BOTOX and Dysport may mean that you respond better to one or the other. Due to dosage differences, one product may be more affordable than the other, and Dysport is more diffuse, which means it’s better suited for treating larger areas. BOTOX, on the other hand, is ideal for precise application.
And the best news is that following either treatment, you will be able to enjoy smooth, younger looking skin.
